dream hog (1999): the epitome of "visual music;" a film that tells a story without any standard characterizaion or narrative - the lead character awakens mysteriously, to a new vision of her world where everything is miraculous and strange - but this awakening slowly turns into her nightmare...

robin heart (1993): a pre-Scourge production - in fact, the first film made by Kenneth of The Scourge! Lo-fi, shot on 16mm, made without any edits; this film is a modern, gory telling of the Robin Hood fable...Look for more modern fairy tales from The Scourge, to celebrate the 10th anniversary.

installation #2 (2000): a disintegration of religion, sex, and industry - part of a 30-minute installation video. Click below for more info.

trance to the sun - execution of the stars (1999): a music video for the now-defunct band, trance to the sun. Abstract images, much like the above installation video, come to life and disintegrate with the flow of the music. The song? Awesome, driving, strange sounds that only they can produce.

push - miracle (1995): another music video for another defunct band. The Scourge's first forray into music videos - shot on super-8 in lovely Hampstead Heath in London. It tells the story of a lonely bunny getting lost in the forest. The song? Excellent, abrasive melancholia, WAY ahead of its time when it was produced (1995).

the battle of capitol hill (2000): another music video made for one of my favorite music weirdos, aphex twin. The footage was shot during the WTO protests in Seattle in 1999. This is one of the rare videos that shows that the protestors were just as foolish as the cops, with their cat-and-mouse game of "who's gonna make the first move?" The jovial quality of the song matches it perfectly.

piece of meat (2002): will somebody hurry up and DISCOVER this brilliant comedy troupe?! These 4 guys do strange, absurdist, sicko comedy that hilariously encapsulates the goings-on in the world. There are 2 scenes here, both taken from a short they made for German Television (as with good music, the true arts are bigger in Europe).

reefer madness '93 (1993): an update on the classic propaganda flick. Everybody likes this one - probably because it's a comedy.
